Snacks & growth
Snacks are what make a creature grow. They come from transaction count and fees you paid, with a streak multiplier if you stay active across epochs.
Nothing is classified. A swap, a mint, a stake-pool registration - a transaction is a transaction.
Breadth vs depth
Snacks are linear and uncapped, so a wallet with years of heavy history earns proportionally more. That is the reward for having actually been here.
What snacks cannot buy is depth. A creature gains at most two levels in any one epoch, however full the bowl is. Unused allowance does not roll over, unused snacks to not expire.
Level 5 → 99 is therefore 94 levels / 47 epochs of perfect attendance - about eight months on mainnet - whatever you spend.
Stages
Genesis creatures and hatched eggs enter at level 5. Max is 99.
| Stage | Levels | What unlocks |
|---|---|---|
| Hatchling | 5–14 | Small body. No horns, tail, or wings. |
| Fledgling | 15–29 | Larger form; tail and simple wings can appear. |
| Adept | 30–49 | Accessories. More head and horn shapes. |
| Prime | 50–74 | Largest bodies, antlers. Can lay an egg. |
| Elder | 75–99 | Full scale. Gilded level plate at 99. |
Evolution commits on-chain at 5 / 15 / 30 / 50 / 75. The genome is rolled against the parts unlocked at each stage, so a creature’s whole life path is fixed at birth and revealed as it grows.
Hatchlings of different owners often look similar. Colour, background, and a few early traits are most of what you see. The creature diverges as stages unlock.
Temperament
Each creature has a temperament and a quirk derived from its seed. Flavour, not stats - they don’t change how it grows.
What wallets show
The image URL in the datum never changes. The content does, as the creature levels.
