Eggs

A creature that reaches level 50 can lay one egg. Laying an egg mints a new NFT for that egg, which will evolve over time. The parent then roosts through the next epoch - always at least one full epoch. It cannot be fed during this time.

Hatching

The egg incubates until it reaches hatch level (5), then you hatch it into a new creature. The child carries a generation number and a pointer to its parent. Birth records are permanent.

Lineage

The child’s seed is derived from the parent, not copied. It is a new creature with its own life path. You can tell related creatures apart on sight once they evolve, even when hatchlings still share a silhouette.
